A detailed Summary of Cesar Chavez
Cesar Estrada Chavez was born March 31, 1927. He was born on a small farm near Yuma, Arizona. Cesar's father lost his land and farm during the depression when Cesar was ten years old. This started his life as a migrant farm worker. Cesar's family was very poor during that time. Throughout the next ten years his family migrated throughout the southwest, working in the fields. Cesar was forced to quit school in the eight grade to help support his family.
In 1945 Cesar joined the U.S. Navy. Three years later Cesar married Helen Fabela. They later moved to San Jose.
In 1952 Cesar met Fred Ross. Fred was an organizer
