Loves Music, Loves to Dance
A murderer and dancing shoes. What do both of these have in common? That really puts a wondrous question in my mind. "A page turning....thoroughly engaging.... splendid suspenseful fiction."- The New York Times Book Review. That is the same reaction I got after I got done reading this book. It is a book full of characters like people we know, in situations that suddenly get turned inside out. In my report I will tell you what both of these things, murderer and dancing shoes, have in common. I will also tell you the conclusions I made while reading throughout this book. There are many different settings throughout the story but the main places the story took place would have to be at Darcy's house, office, or downtown in Manhattan. The main character in this story is Darcy. She is a very determined, brave, and loving girl. I concluded this because Erin, her best, had been murdered and she worried about her and did everything she could to try and find her killer even if it meant putting her life in danger to find a murderer. Another character was Nona. The three of them were all really good friends. She was writing a column about person ads and Erin and Darcy were helping her out with the research by answering ads fo
The climax of the story is when it is the anniversary day of Nan's death. The killer had said that Darcy would die that day but she had no idea. She was walking home and a station wagon stops and sees if she needs a lift. My mind keeps racing. Who is it, who is it?? Right now, I'm thinking it's Doug. He's the one that drives the station wagon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael and Darcy are dancing now, and thinks Michael can tell she is frantic. She must stay calm. But how can she? She has no escape route no one knows where she is, she says to herself she has no hope in living. Yet, she still has hope yet. She's a believer. She still had confidence even though she has no ideas or plans yet what so ever. Another suspect I have in mind is Jay Stratton. He was in the same business as Erin. She was a jewelry designer. He has stolen jewels from her. She was really good at it too. To me, it seemed like he was vicious and conniving, kind of guy. He sold people fake jewelry and ripped them off very easily. He seemed so nice, but was like a sly fox. You couldn't trust him at any costs. He was also a person he knew Nan. He had graduated with her and was once at a benefit with her. Meanwhile, at Michael's, they get to talking. She finally figures out that it's him when she finds Erin's ring on the floor. She didn't want to panic, she couldn't or she would surly die on the spot. That, to me, show a lot of bravery. Knowing your with a killer, and especially one that killed your best friend and wants to kill you to. Darcy just kept talking, trying to keep her cool, and not let him know her suspicions about him. But what is she to do. She need to think of an escape route, but where?? The cops call Doug to see where he is. He's home. It's not Doug. My mind is very troubled now. Who is it. The suspense broadens. They call everyone on their suspect list, and it all comes down to Michael Nash. That is the person that I least expected. Michael starts to confess that he has been killing the girls and that his real name is Charlie. Darcy just tries to carry on like it's no big deal. Then he says, your next, and I will give you 10 seconds to run. She still has hope in herself so she runs and doesn't just stand there. Nor is she struck by panic. She is looking for away out
