1. How the movement started

Imagine women would have never gained their right to vote. Imagine women were forced to stay home while the men worked and we were never heard and never had any privileges. Well this is why the feminist movement was started and lead to the nineteenth amendment.

The feminist movement was an event that started in the summer of 1848, and till this day women are still claiming that they didn't have enough power in society. The feminist movement changed the way society viewed woman's roles.

They struggled putting the Declaration together. Elizabeth suggested using The Declaration of Independence as an example. This led to a convention to see how many people were influenced with their Declaration. The five women had no idea how many people would attend their convention, over three hundred attended mostly women forty men turned up. There the Declaration was read and signed by some of the men and women that were there, but not everyone was not too happy for the amendment that declared that it was alright for women to vote, but they still signed. That's how the women's movement was started.

She was the first president of the Women's Suffrage Association. The friends of Ms. Stanton and Lucretia Mott first met at an anti-slavery convention in London, England in 1840. Ever since that day hey kept talking to each other and discussed equal rights for women. By 1848 she did not know where to start.

This One lady named Elizabeth Cady Stanton started movement; she was one of the organizers of the women's rights movement Convention at Seneca Falls, New York in 1848.

With the start of World War 1, women joined the workforce . They worked once reserve for men in aircraft, steel, machine-tool, high-explosives, textile, and weapons factories and drove ambulances. Other women worked in refinery of copper and brass. They joined the military and nursed the wounded . This made it harder to deny the women their rights.
