A detailed Summary of conlflict paper
My grandmother gave up smoking to raise me when I was an infant. She quit because my mother would not allow her to see her grandchildren. Instead of quitting for me it would have made me a lot happier if she would have never started. For many years she smoked two packs of KOOL cigarettes a day. At first she didn't smoke around me but smoked without me being in her presence.
When I was in fifth grade I remember my parents talking about my grandmother. By this time my grandmother had actually completely quit smoking. So I eagerly listened to what my parents were saying. Then my mother told my dad that my grandmother had told my mom that she had coughed up blood. My grandmother wasted no time to go see a doctor. She was in a doctor's office in a matter of days so they could perform some tests on her to find out what the problem was.
A few days passed after she had gone to the doctor's office .I stayed home sick from school one day and stayed at my grandmother's house while my parents were at work. I remember sitting on the couch watching the television while my grandfather was sitting in his chair and my grandmother was doing stuff around the house. Then the phone rang and it was my mom and she had made some calls while she wa

And now that I have been smoking off and on for close to two years now. I was talking to my mother the other day and she said she couldn't stop me from smoking but that she is concerned for me because I am very prone to it through my grandmother. Now that I realize that smoking is unnecessary and I should quit. But now that I tried to quit it is not that easy I am addicted to cigarettes. Although I have greatly reduced smoking since my mother said that to me.
Then the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my whole entire life happened. It was a Sunday night and basketball season was starting the next day. During that afternoon my grandfather called my mom and said that my grandmothers condition has really deteriorated. So my mom went down to their house all day long when that night while my dad and I were watching television the phone rang. It was my mom and my grandmother had passed away. It felt like a big piece of me was missing.
Now is where the conflict comes in. During high school I had become very close with a big bunch of kids. For two whole summers we all hung out together every day. Well some of my friends smoked Marlboro's. And just after a while I tried a cigarette and it was bad at all. And then soon enough I was smoking, mainly because it was boring and I was always around it with them. I never and still to this day understand why I smoke if I watched my grandmother die an early death of only sixty- eight years. I mainly figured that I'm not going to get cancer like my grandmother.
I went to school and my first day of practice. During the day my friends had all comforted me as they know how close my grandmother and me were to each other. I didn't even have a chance to saying anything to my grandmother although my mom
