Huxley's Brave New World vs. Our world

In a time when the world we live in is becoming more and more materialistic and less and less 'beautiful', it seemed only fitting that Huxley's The Brave New World was to be part of the reading list in my final impression of being a kid. In The Brave New World the characteristics of their world are frighteningly similar to how our way of life has evolved through the years. In the Brave New World children are taught to never like books, thus the same outcome in both situations. In the story, children are taught eroticism at a very young age, in our world, through television, our children are also taught how to be erotic at a strikingly young age. In their society, one main goal is for all the peo

As long as they are busy they are making money. As Mustafa Mond says, "a love of nature keeps no factories busy", this shows his *the leaders* philosophy of how the people of this world view the beauty and awe of nature, they don't. They spend their time working and any time they are not working that are ou!

In the brave new world, the whole family atmosphere is totally shunned upon. Mond thinks of the "family" as smut, he hates it, so in turn the people of his society are taught to hate it. In our world alike, families are becoming more and more distant, they are beginning to disintegrate into
