suffer the children

"Suffer the Little Children" is a great science fiction story written by the legendary author Stephen King. The short story is filled with many descriptive statements that really catch the reader's imagination. "Suffer the Little Children" is about a third grade elementary school teacher who is very strict and short-tempered. This is one of those teachers that all of us hated throughout school, there are absolutely no breaks. Her instincts felt the wrath of something bad happening, but she did not know what it was. Little did she know that her mean teaching style would backfire against her all in a short period of time. Stephen King uses three great techniques to suck the reader into this short story; the phsyco teacher in Miss Sidley and her class, the descriptive statements, and the usual science fiction style that King is famous for.

Miss Sidley is a great teacher when it comes to learning, but when she has to deal with the responsibilities of little kids she just does not fair well. When Miss Sidley has her back turned to the class she can see them making faces and throwing hand gestures at her through the reflection of her thick glasses. It almost looks like she has eyes in the back of

In conclusion a phsyco teacher and class, King's descriptive writing, and the drama of science fiction create a great story. It is very hard to lose interest in this story because the drama and excitement are kept alive throughout. The story is explained so well that the readers of "Suffer the Little Children" can almost think that it is a true story. The beginning did not seem like it was going to be a science fiction due to the scene of the typical third grade classroom. There are a lot of secrets that were going around that classroom and maybe that is how things are in real life who knows?

she realized what she had seen and decided not to tell anyone. She did not go and teach third grade for a month. The day she came back she told her students that she was going to do a test on them and then they could go home for the rest of the day. So one by one the students went down the hall into the testing room. Every kid that went to the testing room, twelve of them, Miss Sidley decided to shoot in the head and kill them. After all said and done Sidley ended up in a crazy hospital where she helped retarted kids and nothing seemed to be wrong with her. Soon after that Miss Sidley took a piece of brok
