The discovery of the "New World" by Christopher Columbus and Spanish conquistadors were that of a great progress; yet struggles and many hardships. I state that there were struggles due to the endless battles and mistakes of finding land and/ or America.

It is mentioned that Columbus had landed in the New World by accident. When he sighted land by the way of sailing, he thought that he had reached his goal, which was Asia. When indeed he just so happen to arrive to something that already existed. It is so obvious that someone was there before him!

y, however Spain would control much of the America and large portions of the Caribbean and parts of Africa. There were other people or explorers who as well as Columbus had marked their name to the contribution of the discovery of the New World.

These people were called conquistadors, they too followed in the footsteps of Columbus. Conquistadors were and still are unique to the Spanish history of this day and time. Their title as Spanish explorers and warriors clearly accounts for the success when
