The Hard Truth - being Gay

When a person realizes that they prefer sexual orientation with a partner of the same sex, it is quite tough for them to publicize it. When teenagers realize they're gay, they have an even tougher time. On top of their everyday traumatic life of school, friends and family, they now must also deal with peoples' acceptance of their homosexuality. As much as there is nothing wrong in desiring someone of the same sex, not everyone is so blase about it. It might be easy for some teenagers to come out but for others, it could be like a bomb waiting to explode.

For those who have no problem coming out, the experience is quite exhilarating. They can finally be open with their feelings and sexuality. These people care little about how people will judge them because they are proud, comfortabl


e and happy with their homosexuality. They know people who understand and respect their choices. They surround themselves with people who support their choice and who might be gay. Unfortunately, this scenario barely happens for most teenagers. Fear is the common feeling most teenagers experience when coming out.
