Being a machime operator
Before I obtained my job here, I had worked at several other different jobs. Some of them were perfect for me, like being a cashier at a small gas station, a job that only required sitting down and talking to different people, and a cooker at Fried Chicken Deluxe at Berry Street. The other jobs I had were dreadful, like serving in a school cafeteria, selling books at in the campus bookstores, and being a clerk in a school library. However, the hardest job I ever had in my life so far was being a machine operator. This job frustrated me because it requires high analytical mind, physically challenging, unreasonable pay, and worst of all, the harmful environment plus an indolent boss. This job demands a great amount of energy and patience. During this semester, I have to go to work whenever I do not have class, so it forced me to work on my assignments during the weekend, or to do them at work. Moreover, I was also responsible for preparing material for next shift. This job is really time consuming because all of these materials and tools are stored in the building about a quarter mile away; therefore, I need to drive a fork lift all the way to the storage building to get materials and tools. In conclusion, I will only need to work at this job for another three more months until I find a better job. However, during these past three years is the darkest period in my employment history because I have never had a job with poor pay, an awful boss, and very stressful. In the future, I will choose my job carefully to avoid facing all these situations again. ls look almost the same. Therefore I have to do my perform my job accurately and constantly. Moreover, the measurement is a hard job than any things else, because of the tolerance in one half thousandth. I have to check the product frequently. Sometimes, I have to go to the engineer office to check the dimensions because I do not have special tool to do this. Once the shift is over, I would go home immediately to take a hot bath, and use my massage machine before I could go to sleep. s I remember, I asked him for a raise. Two days later, he replied that I could not have it. Sometimes, he would order a worker to go here and there to do his job. Even though my boss was really bad, no one wants to complain about him because he or she is scare of losing his or her job.
