American University of Sharjah School of Engineering DC and AC Analysis of Common-emitter and Common-collector Amplifiers 1. To verify the DC and AC analysis of CE and CC amplifier circuit. 2. To design and verify a CE amplifier circuit. In the first part of the experiment, we connected the common emitter and common collecter amplifiers¯ circuits that are given in the procedure. Then we followed the instructions given to find out the voltage gain, the input resistance and the output resistance for each one. After that we calculated the current gain. In addition, in the second part of the experiment we designed and implemented a bypass common emitter amplifier. This experiment was done into two weeks. In the first lab we verified the DC and AC analysis of common-emitter and common- collector amplifier circuit. it stressed the theoritical part that we have studied in Electronics I course. The second lab enhanced our ability to design and construct a bypass common- emitter amplifier.
¤ To measure Zo, connect a variable resistor Rvo across the output. Change Rvo until the output voltage becomes half of its previous value. The output resistance will be equal to Rvo. Ai = [(6.155 ¨C 6.074) / 6.155]*100 = 1.32% >From the Characteristics graph, VCEQ = 5.29 V Design a bypassed common-emitter amplifier circuit with Av = 150. Let ICQ=2.5mA. Then connect the circuit and check the DC and AC parameters of the amplifier. For a bypassed common-emitter amplifier :
