Since the known time that man has been around, there have been recordings of strange and even supernatural things happening. These things have been said to be anything from strange flashes of light, to disappearances, or unidentified objects in the sky, or even a mysterious radio signal. The point is that many people (including myself) strongly believe that we are not alone in this universe, that someone or something is trying to contact us. Some people might wonder, why do we refer to extraterrestrials as a higher intelligence. What proof do we have that can show they are a higher intelligence, or if there are really even extraterrestrials at all. We usually think of extraterrestrials as little green men with big heads that visit or abduct people in their flying saucers (or U.F.O's), leaving behind not a single trace of evidence that we, as the people of Earth, know of. For all we know, the aliens can be in the form of a virus, a bacteria, or maybe just a type of plant. We as a people tend to think that they are the higher intelligence, if there is a "they," because they can visit us in their spaceships and send strange radio messages to us, which are both things that we can not do to them. But we have no idea at all if their intelligence greater than, equal to, or less than ours, once again, if "they" even exist.

Even though there has been this whole incident with Roswell, the government is still trying to make contact with any sort of life out in space. We even sent out the Voyager II, which was just packed full of all kinds of information from Earth, hoping that some sort of extraterrestrial form of life might find it and make some use of it. Ever since man could write, he has been making recordings of the times when he believes aliens have visited. Don't you think that if aliens have been visiting us for thousands of years, that they would already know all the information that was sent up with Voyager II?

Marcy, an astronomer at San Francisco State University, and his research associate, Dr. Paul Butler, who is affiliated with the same university, made an astounding discovery in the scientific field. They reported the detection of two planets orbiting sun-like stars. These can both be seen with the naked eye from Earth. The temperatures of these two planets, which are considerably larger than Jupiter, appear to be warm enough for water to be in a liquid form, showing us that extraterrestrial (non-terrestrial, not on our earch) life may be producing.
