Not only does McMurphy brush his teeth with powder soap to despise Nurse Ratched but he also runs around with just a towel on. McMurphy shows he is a man not only physically but also physiologically. Nurse Ratched is aggravated to see McMurphy show his physical manhood. R.P.M is a "savior" to the men in the ward because he shows them that they could stand up for themselves. This leds the men to believe that they can regain their manhood.
