Old and New Golf Clubs

The equipment for golf has changed over the past fifty years in many different ways. There are different kinds of clubs, better balls and better shoes. Golf carts are another big plus for golf. The equipment continues to get better every year. There have been some important changes in the manufacturing of clubs. The looks of the club, the shafts, and the heads of all clubs are better and very different than they were fifty years ago.

The different looks of golf clubs mainly come from the different material that they are made of. The best looking clubs are the ones with the big name brand on them. Technology and time have improved the looks, heads, and shafts of golf clubs. These changes have made golfers' averages go down by a few strokes. This gradual improvement is what the club companies were looking for. Golfers are always anxious to buy bigger, better, and better looking clubs, because they are always trying to improve their game. Golf clubs fifty years ago were good, but not quite as good as they are now.

Today, golfers use stainless steel and graphite shafts. The stainless steel shafts are better because they have a better design than they did fifty years ago. Manufacturers designed them to get thicker at the top and thinner at the bottom. This provides the golfer with better control, but they still lack flex. The graphite shafts, however, do have flex, but not as much as the hickory shafts did. Golfers can buy graphite shafts according to how much flex they want. If they swing
