One of the most controversial issues in the United States today is the issue of whether or not prayer should be allowed in public schools. In many schools around the country, prayer has already been banned in public schools. Many people have many different on this issue. The American society consists of a variety of different religions, and everyone in America has their freedom of religion guaranteed to them under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. I agree strongly with the First Amendment right too free religion, but the main concern about this paper is portrayed by my belief that prayer should not be allowed in public schools for different reasons. There are many reasons why I feel so strongly about this topic. One particular reason is that I feel that there are schools throughout the United States that educates students of a specific religion. The last thing we need in our public schools is more controversy. For example, if one kid doesn't believe in a God at all and worships Satan in a class full of strong-willed Christians, not many or maybe none of his fellow classmates, will agree with his feelings of religion and that kid will probably be casted aside and ridiculed by them.
