'To live one's life so that it is worthy of respect and honor', is what the code of chivalry meant to King Arthur of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. They knew to never attack unless both sides were prepared, or to torture and attack from behind, for that was considered unfair and breaking the code of chivalry. They knew that this code meant they must be noble, obey the laws, protect their people, and administer justice. Being in this high class of nobility they were to have valor, produce courage in word and deed, and fight with honor.
