Homo Faber by Max Frisch1. SummaryThe book Homo Faber by Max Frisch is a report. It is written by the first person narrator Walter Faber, a 50 years old engineer from Switzerland. The report is split of into the past history and the main action. The past history is reconstructable of the different insertions and it plays in the time of 1933 - 1956. The past history tells that Walter Faber is a


form of the novel. Fabers point of view of the world, which is shortened by the rational -comprehensible is also shown in his style of writing. He reduces the sentence, so that there is no verb. These ellipse remembers on the telegram-style. He writes his report in an exactness that shows his will to justify himself and to proof his innocence on the death of Sabeth. Later, when Faber's changing of his point of view has started he uses imagery as a first sign that he leaves the world of the engineer.(,,...,the red flowers of their mouths"page 189). The title of the book ,,Homo Faber" consists of the two words from the Latin speach homo=human being and faber=workman. The title reflects the rational point of view of Walter Faber in his world of engineering.4 ConclusionIn my opinion the text was a little bit confusioned. There were too many reviews in the past history that it was sometimes difficult to follow the time course. An interesting interpretation of the snake bit writes a!
