The Cabaret is a musical that takes place in the Kit Kat Club in Berlin in 1931 during Hitlers rise to power. The 2 main characters-Sally Bowles & Brian Roberts- were both Americans who traveled to Berlin with seperate dreams. Sally has high hopes and desires to move up the entertainment ladder. She lives each day hoping to break into the movies and each night performing at the Kit Kat Club. Brian is hunting for German students to whom he can teach English-to pay his rent.
