Human Cloning
Ever since Scottish scientists announced the birth of the first clone of an adult mammal, Dolly, there has been great battles over the question, " Do we have the right to clone a human being?" There are many arguments both for, and against the question.Human Gene Cloning should not be legal in the United States of America for the reason that cloning may be against gods will. Do we have the right to play god and create another human being with the ability of science. Many argue NO. Such as author of Molecular Cloning.com, he explains that it is morally wrong for us to believe that we actually can create a human with a soul. Statistics show that he isn't the only one who believes this to be true, ABC News Nightline program released statistics showing that 87 percent of Americans say that human cloning should be banned, 82 percent think it to be morally wrong and 90 percent say they would choose not to be cloned. This is a very powerful if people believe that we will actually allow scientists to create a lab human. BBC news author Liam Donaldson also agrees that it is morally wrong for us to tap into the resource of life even if were doing it to animals. Even though morality does not have a say in much of our society, it!
y, to be different and an individual. Would people be special if we could just create them as sensational as our best? People work hard to be an outstanding person with power and meaning, it's a special gift that god gives someone when created, if we just duplicate that for our pleasure than gods job isn't as special anymore! come to these fine advances, why should they be limited to the possibilities of their research? Many scientist believe it cant be stopped by any law or paper, the future is here and nothing will stop advancement. Although there are problems with this kind of research, explains scientist Orkin, "If the genetic DNA testing has too much or too little of a gene it will cause diseases such as sickle cell anemia". That is why our research in this type of field has to be practiced and precise before we actually try to do such work. un to try to beat individuals at their own game, war. It is a far fetched idea but it is possible in the minds of many, not ot mention terrorists. Human Gene Cloning should be outlawed for the fact that it will diminish ones individuality. If you take someone and copy them, they aren't the person that god created with the persons uniqueness and style, although they adapt to their environment there is still a sense of lost style. Even though a person may want to be cloned, the clone itself doesn't have a say in it, what if down the road it finds out that it was a copy of someone and it isn't of gods creation? Who is to say what could occur, what this clone may feel, and how others may treat them. By definition, to clone is to exercise unprecedented control over the genetic dimension of another individual. What gives anyone the right to create another human beings genetic makeup? Many claim that these people will be just like a identical twin, but with a individual sense, just like twins. They would have the same genes, but be a different personality. This may be true, but why would we want or need to do this, just ! ogy that was formed over time, than if the research is good enough they may release the ban, minus all the concerns of the ethics of the situation. Even though ethics of religion take place in this issue, not everyone believes in the same thing, so before we end what we started maybe we should keep researching what we have found with the chance that good may come out of it. Federal departments and agencies should cooperate with science and provide information to the public in the area of genetics and what they can do to help each, and everyone of us, especially where cultural practices, values, and beliefs come to play! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ as made in a lab, so what kind of future does it hold, only time will tell! Human Cloning should be banned for the respect that it may create defects in the human gene pool, which down the road if we have people with the same genes and they cross in the pool it would be like mating with your family, thus is a proven fact that it will cause defects in a person or persons. Then what was thought to be good for our gene pool goes in a circle and comes back to get us in the end. It is an unsafe practice that needs years of research to form an outcome of what would happen if we actually cloned human beings. There are many factors that come into the issue besides if it is right or wrong, there has not been anything close to a copy of a human that we can test to see if research is correct. Even with animals it took years to duplicate what is needed for cloning, and the
