In the poem, "The Adjunct", writer Howard Pflanzer is describing the life of the adjuncts, part time professors in Universities, and colleges. The meaning of the poem is to show people about the lives of adjuncts. It's obvious from the poem that the writer is an adjunct himself, and he writes about his own life, and his students.
