My Name is :o), and I am writing to introduce myself as a potential student for your University. I am very excited about embarking upon this new aspect of my life, but like most other young adults my age, am a little nervous. I also know, the strong reputation your school has, and I am sure with the help and guidance from my parents, school counselors, professors, and peers I will not only succeed, but enjoy these upcoming years.
I am a 'people person' and thrive on the many attributes each person has to offer. I have learned from personal experience, that your strengths come from within and each and every person you meet has something to offer you, either in the way of life skills, laughter, friendship, spirituality, compassion and so much more if you allow them. You just have to be receptive and non-judgmental to get the most out of your encounters and experience
I enjoy helping with different activities in our town's Youth Athletic Association. I cannot participate in sports because of a connective tissue condition I have. From the time I was born, I have had a debilitating syndrome known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This syndrome limits what simple tasks I am physically able to accomplish. I think not being able to participate in most normal activities like other children, I developed a desire to learn everything I could about new things. I have always had a desire to work with and be around people, especially children. As I grew older my syndrome became more prominent and I found that I was physically able to do less and less. Going through junior and senior high I had to find a way to occupy my free time while my friends were playing sports and doing normal teenage things. My ability to get along with people and my limitations, due to my disability, has led me to the education
