1) Aurora Welty wrote a section of her life as a book because she wanted others to learn from her experiences. She made a lot of very important accomplishments. She graduated after four years of college , and completed her lifetime goal: to become a writer.
Her first book, "Lilly Dow and the three ladies" was published in the winter of 1937. She went on to publish around 20 more books in the next 43 years. In 1979, she won the National Medal for Literature.
