Water is essential for the world's survival and money is what controls everything. He suggests that these priorities are backwards. Mos Def clearly expresses that in his last lines of the song, "Water used to be free now it cost you a fee/ cause it's all about getting that cash money!" you be buying Evian just to take a *censored*in bath." Also in the beginning of the song he states how twisted the world's priorities are. "Cause while these knuckleheads is out here sweatin they goods/ The sun is sitting in the treetops burnin the woods/ and as the flames from the blaze get higher and higher/ they say, 'Don't drink the water! We need it for the fire!" ------
