Hamlet
In the story Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Hamlet is looked at as being mad and crazy because of his vengeance on his uncle. However, Hamlet himself is putting on an act as if he was mad, which in fact he has total control of himself. In this play Hamlet struggles to find who he can trust and not trust. Three characters in the play that had an impact on Hamlet are: Claudius, Gertrude, and Horatio. These people reflected on Hamlet either positively or negatively. For Hamlet, the only thing he wanted was revenge and justice for his fathers death. If this meant losing friendship and lovers then he accepted it. By the end of the play Hamlet serves justice to the state of Denmark by defeating his enemies and reclaiming pride once again. In the beginning of the play the relationship between Hamlet and his uncle/stepfather Claudius is a bit hostile. Claudius kept trying to have a father/son relationship and restore order in Denmark. He even wanted Hamlet to stay in Denmark and be with his family. Even though Hamlet wanted to leave he obeyed his mother’s request.
