Keeping animals in zoos denies them freedom of movement and association with other animals. When animals are in captivity their whole lives, they have no freedom to grow in the sense that they would in the wild. This sense that they can’t grow in captivity to the fullest extent exists because the wild offers more of a realistic habitat than the captivity ever could. Zoos and theme parks have great scenery when it comes to entertainment.
