There seems to be a major problem arising in Egypt and Great Britain. There have been hundreds of recorded art thefts in Egypt. Jonathon Tokeley- Parry is one of the assumed thieves. The thieves steal the art or artifacts to sell to people. Jonathon says that he sells them so they can be saved in people's homes not in poorly guarded museums. This type of problem has been occurring more and more. There are three main solutions. One is for the government to take more control. Two is for Egypt and Great Britain to get stronger laws. The third is to get the United Nations involved. The most valued item Tokely-Parry stole was valued at 1.4 million dollars. The governments are saying that they are destroying clues to older civilizations and it needs to stop.
One solution to this problem would be if the governments would take more control.
If none of these solutions work, then probably the final solution would be to involve the United Nations to help with the problem. The United Nations would make it a lot easier to have a court hearing because they would have their own laws instead of two or more country's different laws because of the shift of moving from country to country. It would probably be good for resolving who was guilty or not but it would be harder for the United Nations to stop the thefts. That job is for the government of the country. The United Nations would be very helpful in resolving this issue.
A lot of these solutions would help stop the thefts that have been occurring in Egypt and other countries. Egypt wants the thefts to stop because they are losing clues to their culture in the past They want to keep
