This is something I have been trying to decide for quite some time now. Who has the better wings? Hillsboro or Drovers. I have narrowed down the competition to these two competitors. The rest just do not stand a chance. Here are some categories to help you help me decide.
Hillsboro has great location for me. It is located on Mc Clister Avenue in Mingo Junction, Ohio. It is about a two minute drive from my house and is not that hard to find. Drovers on the other hand is about a twenty-five minute drive to Wellsburg. It is located on Washington Pike, a long twisty road in the mountains of West Virginia. It is not hard to find as long as you are not a moron or receive directions from a moron. The food is worth the drive.
The cost of each differ depending on how much you want and if your dining out. At Hillsboro to dine in, it costs thirty-five cents a wing which averages out to four bucks a dozen. To din
Hillsboro's wings lacks on availability. The only time you can get their wings is on a Sunday or Monday starting at four o'clock. Get there early or you might be left without a seat. Drover's on the other hand is available everyday of the week except Mondays and Tuesdays. Yet another category dominated by Drovers.
Another category that edges toward the Drover's side. This all depends on which waitress serves you at Hillsboro. The service is good there depending on the size of the crowd and if you are waited on by the death waitress. This is a lady in her mid-thirties with short curly blonde hair. If this is not the waitress there will be good service. If it is the waitress, she is not called the death waitress for nothing. Drover's staff is polite and on point with each request. There might be one slip-up, but that is about it. Their service complements their staff nicely.
