The main reason though, why I like Harry Truman, is because he was self educated and also because when his businesses failed or farming failed for him he didn't give up and he was always learning from his mistakes. With no high school or college education he was able to teach himself things that would take some of us years to learn. Reading was his key, he read anything he could get his hands on and that was his way into success. One thing I did want to find out but didn't was why he was never enrolled in any schools. If he was so interested in all of the different things he could learn why wouldn't he want to be educated, or was it because he was so stubborn that he felt there wasn't anything, anybody could teach him that he couldn't learn on his own simple by reading a book.
