The book "Flight of the Buffalo" discusses many different aspects of leadership. There are two main characters, Jim and Ralph. Jim has been in the field of business for over forty years and Ralph has worked in a sausage factory. They describe their perspectives of leadership form their past experience in the workplace. The story is told in first person even though there are two authors they consider themselves as one.
The title of the book "Flight of the Buffalo" derives from a theory that in a herd buffalo are loyal followers of the leader. They do whatever the leader wants them to do, go wherever the leader wants them to go. If the leader does not show up they wait around for him to show that is why early settlers could decimate the buffalo herds so easily by killing the lead buffalo. The rest o

Throughout the book Jim and Ralph describe how they implemented their plan in to their own business. He also goes on to say the even though he has developed a plan to make his company more efficient he still has a long way to go. He went form being a leader with many followers to creating a company with many leaders.
