A detailed Summary of Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet was a play which involved two lover with an intimate relationship with death. The setting of this play takes place over a five-day period in Verona, Italy in 1593. Many times Shakespeare has used symbolism and foreshadowing to show what will happen to the lovers. Symbolism is a representation of one thing for another. And foreshadowing is an indication of what will happen afterwards. The main characters in the play are Romeo and Juliet. Secondary characters who helped them were Friar Lawrence and the Nurse. The conflict starts when Romeo meet's Juliet at a banquet and falls in love with her. Their love gets intensified with the feud between the families and threatens it, and they both meet secretly with the help of the Nurse and the Friar. Although they get married with the help from the Friar and the Nurse, they only see each other at night. In addition, they quickly resolve to commit suicide upon learning of each other's death.
