After completing extensive research on William Shakespeare, there are many things that one can learn about his life and how it effected his writings. Shakespeare had been through a lot in his life, and it is very clear that he understood people.
In Hamlet, one of Shakespeare's most popular works, he shows just how much he knew about the complexities of the human mind. The approach taken by Shakespeare in Hamlet has generated an infinite number of interpretations on the plays meaning. Through young Hamlet's struggle in confronting his internal dilemma, deciding whether or not to avenge his father's death, the reader is made aware of one of the more common interpretations in Hamlet ; the idea that Shakespeare attempting to comment on the influence that a persons mental state has on their life's decisions.
As the play unfolds, Shakespeare uses the encounters that Hamlet must face to demonstrate the effect that one's perspective can have on the development of the human mind.
