How do you think dinosaurs died? Was it because of an asteroid hitting the Earth or maybe a food shortage? Death and Devastation are far more frequent from deep inside the Earth. An example of this is a volcano. There are more than 3,000 active volcanoes in the world. The most destructive volcano occurred 251 million years ago it’s lava flow covered about a million square miles which is now Siberia and destroyed most of life there as well. A volcano is an opening in the Earth's crust through which molten lava, ash, and gases are ejected. Tens of thousands of people are killed each century by volcanoes, whether from the ash, lethal gases, or the lava itself.
