Bean Plant
A science project is an exciting adventure in which you search out the secrets of living things. By doing a project you can follow the footsteps of a scientist, and construct important discoveries about how living things carry out their vital activities. Experimenting with plants and light can be both interesting and challenging! Plants have various parts that can be experimented with to obtain the answers you seek, to your essential question. Also, light has an effect on the characteristics of plants. Although you have not wandered into the world of plants, you will be shocked to find that plants have several different consequences to change in the color of light. The results that this project will create will both shock you and compel you to proceed with he study of both plants and light.Light fills our world, with defying colors that bring our world to life. Although light has many miscellaneous topics that don't correlate to my topic, The Effect Of Different Colored Domes On The Characteristics Of The Bean Plant. So within the many topics of light, the focused one will be anything associated with color, as well as characteristics of light, and their theories.
Light has a special way of traveling; it travels at the speed of light. Light travels as a vacuum at the miraculous speed of 186,000 miles per second, or in other terms, 300 million meters per second. Astounding isn't it! Also light travels in certain ways. It chooses paths, but almost always moves in straight lines. However in these paths, it bends so slightly around the edges of its obstacles, during its travel in paths. This bending sensation is called diffraction. There were several theories of light. They were created by scientist, and some were revised to perfection. One theory of light was the Corpuscular Theory. This theory stated that light is made of tiny particles shot out of the luminous objects, or bodies. Another theory that was created was the Wave Theory, which is often linked with Electromagnetic Theory of light. This theory explains that light consists of transverse electromagnetic waves that get radiated from objects, which are always luminous bodies. It also demonstrates other noticed behaviors of light. Finally, last but not least, another theory is the Quantum Theory. This theory is sort of a combination of the Corpuscular Theory, and the Wave Theories. It was created to explain observed behavior of light. According to this theory, light contains bundles of energy called photons, which behave mostly like particles, at times. The reasoning behind these photons is that, they travel in paths that are only dete! Williamson, Samuel J., and Heman Z. Cummins. Light And Color In Nature And Art. New York: Gardner, Robert.
