Every year, millions of unhealthy products are dumped all over the world onto misinformed consumers. Because of this, many preventable deaths have occurred throughout the years. Dumping exists "when the US government forces a dangerous drug, pesticide, or other product off the domestic market, the manufacturer then sells that same product - frequently with the direct support of the State Department - throughout the rest of the world."

Depo-Provera, a form of contraceptive, was linked to a study where it was found that it caused Breast Cancer in Beagles. After many years of usage, Depo-Provera was taken off the market in the US and then sold throughout Third World Countries. There, it is used to reduce population, is sold in 70 different countries. As of recently, Depo-Provera has resurfaced in the US and is becoming popular amongst the teenage population. Some believe that doctors are forcing this product onto teenagers who they believe are minorities, they then do not give them the responsible amount of information that is needed. Some side effects of the drug are weight gain, around 3-4 pounds, irregular bleeding during their menstrual period.

After being banned by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Tris-treated clothing was shipped overseas to new, unaware customers. Tris is a flame-retardant chemical that is suspected of causing cancer. This product was used in children's sleeping wear where it could then be absorbed into the skin and become hazardous. Each year, more and more children, and adults, consume this product and leave us with the risk of cancer. Unaware customers in other countries wear these products and, in turn, are jeopardizing their health. A petition is being filed to stop the production of this product throughout the world, and hopefully it will be stopped and lives will be saved.

Benzene, an organic chemical that is used as an additive in gasoline, is cited by the EDF to be capable of causing leukemia and other blood diseases. The EDF has formed a petition that has called for an immediate action to cut airborne emission of the chemical. Benzene is emitted into the air by automobiles, gasoline evaporation, benzene production, benzene consumption and coke oven pollution. Over 12 million pounds of this product is produced each year.
