Napster: The Need For Music Versus The Cost of Music

The Sound of Music Versus the Cost of Music?

The music business has certainly changed with the advancement in Internet technology. The local record store has even been affected by the emergence of free, quality sounding music, offered through Napster via downloading. Napster is a free online music file-sharing program run through numerous servers that allows users to freely exchange music files known as Mp3's at no charge. This controversial innovation has influenced millions of consumers who have opted for Napster as a substitute for the traditional practice of purchasing music in a record store. Overall, using Napster is a better option because it's free of charge, free of hassle as well as versatile, and more extensive than any comparable record store.

At that rate, over a five-year span, the aggregate amount spent on music at the record store is $2,250. And That is a lot more money than music. The long-term costs of purchasing music the traditional way (the expensive way) over five years will accumulate to a total comparable to a newly furnished entertainment room. This long-term, traditional method is costly to the average music fan. As has always been the case with record stores,!

Napster's versatility, through intangible means, is a hassle-free method that makes amassing music pleasurable. It is also a faster and more efficient way of seeking and collecting music. The electronic advantage of Napster provides the user the abilities to communicate with other users in two ways: instant messenger and chat rooms. Users now have a forum to discuss and share ideas on music and tips on improving Napster's efficiency. Napster also offers a c
