Throughout history there have been many accounts of the same story just told in many different perspectives, this brief essay will help show the comparison and differences between stories. Some of the main differences and comparisons of The Epic of Gilgamesh and The Bible may include how the event was formed. In addition, the events in the stories are the same main idea and that is flooding.
The first major similarity of the two stories is that they both used a measuring system to make their ships. They used the ships to save themselves from the great floods that their gods promised them would happen. Both gods came down and told there chosen servant to carry out their orders to build a ship or ark. Both servants carried out the orders and carried on humanity through the deluge.
In conclusion, the two stories have many similarities and differences many have which I explained. The most central idea, which is a mass flooding, is the largest similarity between the two accounts.
