A theory stating that man’s individual existence precedes his essence and stressing his responsibility for fashioning his self . Existentialism, much like a religion or a culture, can be categorized as a way of life. Every day, every waking hour, briing many decisions to be made. The idea of existentialism is portrayed to two different utmost, through the characters behavior, in The Stranger and No Exit. A very important aspect of the existentialist code is responsibility for decisions and choices made. Morally or ethically, wrong or right; authenticity, honesty, and truth are the justifications of any action to an existentialist. Every person is an dividual with free will to choose. But what is a free will with out believing in what that free will does? They must accept the risk and responsibility of their actions. Another important aspect of the existentialist code is the idea that life is mean gless and absurd. Although despite living in a meaningless and absurd world, people can still obtain happiness. What a person does exceeds who they are. Therefore, existentialism may not be the chocolate coded answer or way, but it most definitely is he solid authentic, true answer and way.
