Child Abuse
There are millions of children being abused every day. They are abused in many different ways but all are very harmful. These children are usually sent back to the same guardian, and are then abused again. Over half of the children sent back to the abusive home are killed by abuse that has simply gone too far. It seems today's judicial system just does not care enough, so it is up to us as a society to help these children. I wrote this paper to inform people about child abuse, and to heighten their awareness. My interest in this topic started a few years ago when I met Jameel, a young boy who had been abused in his past. He taught me a few things and I began to study abuse. The statistics on abuse are horrifying. I hope to make the reader aware of what happens behind closed doors, perhaps even in your neighborhood. I would like to thank Mr. Schneider for his help with this project. I would also like to thank my mom and Katie for their great proofreading skills. The librarians were also very helpful. I am thankful for the great academic skills of my friends that have helped me out. This paper is incomplete due to unobtainable sources and limited resources for obtaining some information.
I would like to have covered the effects of abuse on children a little more in-depth, but I did not have enough information. Also it would have been better if I could have gone into more detail on the effect of abuse on society. I have not covered some things in this paper because of the extreme, sometimes violent content. If I had more time I could have explained some of the things that were said a little better.
