B.F. Skinner
Burrhus Frederic Skinner was born in Suaquehanna, Pa., on March 20, 1904. He became interested in psychology while attending Harvard University and was inspired by Bertrand Russel's articles on behaviorism. Behaviorism originated with the work of John B. Watson, an American psychologist. Watson claimed that psychology was not concerned with the mind or with human consciousness. Instead, psychology would be concerned only with behavior. In his way, men could be studied objectively, like rats and apes.Watson's work was based on the experiments of Ivan Pavlov, who had studied animals' responses to conditioning. In pavlov's best-known experimentm he rang a bel as he fed some dogs several meals. Each time the dogs hear the bell they knew that a meal was coming, and they would begin to salvate. Pavlov then rang the bell without bringing food, but the dogs still salvated. They had been "conditioned" to salvate at the sound of a bell. Pavlov believed, as Watson was later to emphasize, that humans react to stimuli in the same way. My taught on psychology is that it is about a psychologist study a persons behavior and how they react to certain situation in their environment. visit to the Gateway Arch was an experience.

The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Park was established on the banks of the Mississippi River on December 21, 1935, to commemorate the westward growth of the United States between 1803 and 1890. The park consists of the Gateway Arch, the Museum of Westward Expansion, and St. Louis' Old Courthouse. However, The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Park main feature is the Gateway Arch, designed by architect Eero Saarinen, who won the design competition in 1947. The Arch is located on the original riverfront site of St. Louis and symbolizes the city's role as the gateway to the West. To the left as you enter the lobby, is the ticket center. At the time of my visit, I noticed two separate lines to two ticket agents, and I purchased my tickets from the ticket agent on the right. Then you are told to go to either the north side or south side of the lobby to go to the top of the Arch. I was told to go to the south side of the lobby. Once there, an attendant collects the ticket, and you are told to move forward to a certain numbered spot. On the wall are eight numbered spots and I was told to stand in spot number eight against the wall. After all the spots are filled up, another attendant guides you through a turnstile that leads downstairs, and again you are told to stand in the same spot that
