Princess Diana was born on July 1, 1961 at Sandringham,Norfolk, England. Her parents were Frances and Earl Spencer. Her father was a viscount, which is a type of noble in England. In 1967, after 14 years of marriage her mother had left her father for another man, Peter Shand-Kyad. Her mother and Peter later got married on May 2, 1969. Earl Spencer also re-married to the daughter of Barbara Cartland, the Countess of Dartmouth. Diana’s father died on March 29, 1992 from a heart attack. He died in a Princess Diana had two older sisters and two brothers, one older and one younger. Her oldest sister, Sarah, was born in 1955. Her other sister, Jane, was born in 1957. Her older brother, John, died at birth. Her younger brother, Charles, was born in 1964.
