The success of a hero often depends on the mental or physical abilities of the hero. In the epic poem, "The Odyssey," by Homer Odysseus proves that mental abilities are very much an important ingredient in succeeding and attaining the hero's goals, not just the traditional hero stereotype of "might makes right." He uses his intellect along with cunning and coy strategies, sometimes with the help of the god
