Over the past two decades Vietnam has suffered many hardships. Vietnam has been described as, "the nation which progress is made at snail's pace." In 1969 Vietnams Fearless leader, Ho Chi Minh passed away. Since then the country has avoided making drastic governmental changes. Vietnam is a Confucius society and because of that they have tried not to alter their government standing. This is because Confucianism demands a deep respect for ones elders and those who suffered through the revolution will not be ignored.
