A relationship is an association between two or more people at different degrees. Most relationships are mutual and others are hostile. Mutual relationships are very important as well as delicate. They can keep people together as long as one person doesn't turn there back on the other. In A Separate Peace by John Knowles, a relationship develops between Gene and Phineas. This relationship is very similar to the one between Doodle and his older brother in "The Scarlet Ibis" by James Hurst.
