While I was watching MTV, there was a special that was called "When Lyrics Kill". Eminem, one of the upcoming rap star that are topping the charts as we speak, was being featured. Eminem is known for explicit lyrics. He says what he thinks and feels and doesn't care what other people think even if he is offending people. His lyrics contain about killing and abusing his wife, homosexuals, and other subjects that other artist dare not to rap about. What makes him stand out is his boldness to speak his mind. There have been plenty of issues that parents and other people have brought to his attention. His music sells, but should our kids be listening to it? His music sends messages to people. It may be the right message or even the wrong message. How can people prevent this from going to far. Censorship is the answer. Censorship has always been a controversial question and a very interesting topic to talk about to one another. Should this be allowed to be on TV? Is it okay if we listen to this in school?
