I had the privilege to take a trip to the HawaiianIslands this semester and it was truly a cultural experience. As well as culture the ambiance of the society and the traditions I was privileged to see were alone quiet amazing. The greatest thrill was a performance that was done a long time ago and is still done today. The ancient Hawaiians have a tradition of a Luoa which contains hula dancing flame throwing as well as great traditional music . I was able to see this tradition that they carry on today in the natural form that has been preserved for hundreds of To tell you the truth I walked into my VIP seating and was immediately not impressed with my seat. I did not like how some seats you had to pay for and others were just standing room. I did like the culture shock of the uniforms of grass skirts and necklaces with the dancing and shouting. I was taken out of my element and considered that this was the assignment. I did like the performance and it was a moving experience but the whole performance I would not go to again because it was not that nice. It had language that I could not understand and it had a family atmosphere which kept the excitement to a minimum. Most of the people there
