Throughout history, there have been wars and conflicts fought in the name of righteousness and good. In many cases, the hostilities were deemed "holy wars," being, supposedly, fought in the name of Christ, Allah, Yahweh, or whatever deity the people worshipped. While blood was being shed "in the name of God," you could always expect that there was an underlying factor. Something that the people didn't outwardly fight for, but was the absolute root of their conflict. It all comes down to money and power, in the end. Simply put, it's all about the Benjamins.Let's go back in time for a moment. It is 1791 AD, and the Jews have just been emancipated in France. After being outcasts for centuries, living in the confines of the Jewish ghetto, these peoples had a powerful incentive to expand beyond what they were formerly limited to being. These Jews rapidly rose in areas such as academia, mathematics, medicine, the arts, journalism, and every other profession that was available. Unfortunately, the prompt success of the Jews frightened many non-Jews. They were being viewed as an economic threat. They were discriminated against because of their apparent ability to make money faster and easier than other pe
A minority of Jews adopted a viewpoint similar to that of the gentiles. They believed that nothing would be able to alter the hostility of the non-Jews, and that a Jew will always remain an outsider in the European culture. The people that held these beliefs (called Zionists) sought to resolve this by creating a society outside of, but modeled after, that of the Europeans. The openly anti-Semitic policies adopted by Russia and many other eastern European countries are posing serious economical, political, and spiritual dilemmas for the Jews. As a result, the stateless Jews begin to immigrate to other parts of the world, namely, the United States. Other Jews, however, favor an idea similar to those of their French relatives: for a government within a government. These Russian Jews chose to carry this out by residing within a semi-autonomous community called a kehilots. These communities, though in accordance with the standards of their religion that call for separation of Jews and gentiles, offer next to no protection of the Jews from the forces that matter. A very small percentage of those Jews, however, are becoming very attracted to the notion of reconstructing a nation-state within the Jewish "home-land" Palestine, namely, near Jerusalem. Let's now travel to Russia, where Jews are under the same, if not even more intense persecution by non-Jews, which is also based solely on the idea that these Jews may become an economic threat. By 1881, this persecution is becoming excruciatingly painful for the Jews. The ends of this war left the world (with the exception of the Arabs) left with a tremendously sympathetic feeling towards the Jews. They hadn't a place to go, and were residing temporarily in camps through out Eastern Europe. The overall opinion was to compensate them for all of the hardship that they had endured. In return for all of their suffering, they were given the thing that they had been calling for for so long: a Nation-State within Palestine. Not everyone agreed with the proposition, and as a result, violence erupted. Essentially, the cause of all of the conflict in the world is the want of money and power. People will do anything for it, even if it means taking the lives of innocent and righteous people. These two things also go hand in hand with the ownership of land. Who ever possess the land has the power, and therefore has the money, or the ability to take the money from those on the land.
