Schindler's List
A detailed Summary of Schindler's List
The motion picture Schindler's List is a historical film that is filmed in mostly black and white and was produced by legendary director Steven Spielberg. It is based on a true story that happened during World War II. The movie was filmed in areas all over the world, spanning from the United States, Czechoslovakia, Europe, and Germany. The action takes place in a town called Krakow and its surrounding areas.
The story is focused on the main character, Oskar Schindler. He is a non-Jew who is a member of the Nazi Party. He saves millions of Jews from going directly to death camps by starting a metal works factory. The Jews are very grateful to him, but at the beginning all he cares about is making a profit from the war.
Another main character is Amon Goeth, a S.S. officer. In the film he is portrayed as a very mean and unpredictable man. He has a lot of power at most times can be very snaky.
One of the main keys to this film would have to be Schindler's Jewish accountant, Izahak Stern. He adds a touch of warmth and sanity to the film. Mr. Schindler may have all the money and get all the fame for his successful business, but it is really Izahak that runs the company.

Oskar Schindler failed at his marriage and several businesses after the war. In 1958 he was declared a righteous person by the council of the Yad Vashoem in Jerusalem, and invited to plant a tree in the Avenue of the righteous. It is still there.
ak Stern because he always seemed to bring a light moment to the movie. This entire movie was great, there are certain points that I could have gone without such as some of the killing scenes, but it helped be realized and focus on what really did happen during World War II. I can now see why this movie received so many awards. They deserved everyone of them.
1939. The German forces had just defeated the Polish army. All of the Jewish people were ordered to register all of their family members and then relocate to the major cities. More than 10,000 Jews from the countryside arrived in Krakow daily.
At the end of the movie when Oskar announces the war is over, he tells the German soldiers there that they can either kill the Jews and return home as murders or leave right now and return home as men. The soldiers leave in a hurry and the Jews rejoice. Oskar then states that he is a profiteer of slave labor, and a criminal, and at midnight the Jews will be free and he would be hunted. The Jewish people give him a gold ring with the inscription in Hebrew that says whoever saves a life saves the world entire. Schindler then tells Stern that if he had had more money he could have saved more, he didn't do enough. The next morning the Jews were liberated by the Soviet army.
This film focuses on one man and his trials and tribulations as well as the troubles of the Jewish people during this time period. It also showed how one man overcame the prejudice of the time and helped out people no matter who they were.
The women were forced to dig up the dead bodies and then set them aflame. It is a sad part in the movie because as the women are digging up these bodies they are being covered with ashes from the incinerator. The Germans forced Schindler to shut down his factory, and he was going to send the rest of the men and women to Auschwitz. Schindler sees the bodies being burned and once again gets a look of dismay in his eyes. He promises his partner
