This year’s team displays the same heart and courage as their head coach, Chris Johnson does when he is on the sidelines coaching. With a steady goalie play and undaunted defense, Bergen Catholic would show the Montclair Lacrosse program that they’re not just a football powerhouse. The game started off with Craig Bacci taking the face off in stride and dishing the play to Rajano, who settled the team and began to initiate the offense. From that moment on, the Mounties took control with Steve Lovecchio netting two goals and fellow senior/midfielder, Craig Bacci, scoring one. “The attack line played stupendous all day. We were just feeling it.” said Brian Guiffra. With two goals apiece from him and James Kole, the game came to route with the final score being 15-8.
