JFK

John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States. He was the youngest person to ever be elected president. He was one of the most popular presidents. Young people especially admired him. His impact on the young people of the United States had a great impact on the future. Some of the things that John F. Kennedy achieved are still existing today. He was a fair president who set goals for world peace. If he was unsuccessful in those goals the United States might have still been fighting about equality and segregation.

John F. Kennedy concentrated on getting to know the people of the United States. Before he was elected he met with new people every week. Even when he was president he had several dinners with reporters, poets and authors.


John F. Kennedy had a strong and important relationship with the young people of the United States. Kennedy's first year in office brought him success in establishing new legislation. Congress passed a major housing bill, a law increasing the minimum wage, and a bill granting federal aid to economically depressed areas of the United States. The most original piece of legislation Kennedy put through Congress was the bill creating the Peace Corps, an agency that trained American volunteers to perform social and humanitarian service overseas. Kennedy also got young people involved in helped less developed countries. The purpose of passing all if these new legislatures was to promote world peace and make it a better place for the people of the future
