Jesus' Legacy

Many evils have been committed in the name of Jesus, from the horrors of Nazi Germany to the Spanish Inquisition. Christianity, however, has also had a good effect on many peoples' lives through the spiritual guidance in his teachings. When Jesus views the World and its history how does he views the legacy that bears his name? I believe that he views some of the deeds done in his name as contemptible and loathsome, but realizes that these deeds are not his real legacy. Germans, during the Nazi era, persecuted and killed over 6 million Jews. There have also been many people and groups that have made positive contributions to Jesus' legacy. Some examples are Mother Teresa and most missionaries. Jesus and his teachings also help to comfort those who are in the midst of hardships. In conclusion, I believe that Jesus sees his real legacy in those who follow his teachings, not those who use his name as a means of justifying their evil. Therefore, I believe that he sees his overall legacy as having a positiv!

They also ignored Jesus' messages of turning the other cheek and forgiveness "...if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also..." (Matthew 5:39) and "Peter came and s!
