Long ago when asked "what do you want to be when you grow" many things filled my mind. A fireman, an actor and a doctor all seemed like heroic careers that I would pursue. But now as my Freshman year of college comes to an end, a more realistic answer is expected. But is there a job out there more heroic than all of the super hero dreams I've had as a five year old? Yes, there is, a writer. I aspire to be a writer because I think that creating ideas and recording them is one of the greatest accomplishments of mankind. To share stories, fables and personal experiences with people all across the world is amazing. Because there are different forms of writing, there is a wide variety to inspirations and role models. There are poets, fiction and non fiction authors, biographers and playwrights, which all vary in many ways. For example, Thomas Dylan can make his readers feel exactly what he was feeling at the moment of his writings, Henry Thoreau can take a persons view on society and change it to a more simplistic one and Anthony Burgess can make people realize the possible future of a tarnished today.
